Now in its fifth year, Targa Carolina has become a staple for air-cooled driving enthusiasts in the Southeast. But its journey to this point has been anything but ordinary. Inspired by Charles' unforgettable rally adventures out West, Targa Carolina was created to bring that same sense of adventure, camaraderie, and love for driving to the stunning mountain roads of North Carolina.

In a time when gatherings were scarce and uncertainty loomed, the community of air-cooled enthusiasts rallied together. Their passion for the event and their determination to preserve its magic brought out an extraordinary resilience.

With creative problem-solving, strict adherence to safety measures, and unwavering enthusiasm, the community ensured the event would go on. Smaller group drives, socially distanced meet-ups, and a shared commitment to making it work became the backbone of Targa Carolina in those challenging times.
